Privacy policy

Last updated October 12, 2026

Kue (also called Cue in development builds and Kue App in platform approval screens) is operated by Fahim Ahmed. Contact f.ahmed9446@gmail.com for support or privacy requests.

This notice covers this website and available Kue development features. Kue is not publicly released. Features process information only when they are available and you use them; this notice does not activate a feature or authorize new processing.

Information you provide

We process recommendations, links, text, notes, collections, photos, and feedback you choose to add. Account services process authentication identifiers and information you provide when creating or managing your account. A private account photo is a local derivative, separate from your public profile.

When you contact us, we receive your email address, message, and attachments. Please do not send passwords, authentication codes, or unnecessary sensitive information.

Processing recommendations and photos

Kue uses submitted content to identify and organize recommendations. URL and text processing can send the selected source through our authenticated backend and configured source-acquisition and AI providers. Network or authentication failures may leave submissions queued on your device for retry.

On the current iPhone photo-processing path, raw photo pixels remain on your iPhone. Apple Vision recognizes content on the device. Bounded recognized text, layout evidence, and classification labels may be sent through Kue’s protected backend to an approved AI provider when the applicable disclosure and server controls allow it. Recognized text may contain personal information. Retained source images are protected, reduced-quality local copies.

Separate Android development flows can temporarily upload prepared photos for server text recognition and Google Cloud Vision processing after the relevant disclosure. This does not authorize uploading older photos or photos from the iPhone path. Android launch availability has not been announced.

Private photos, personal-image recognition evidence, notes, and private account context do not enter public recommendation caches. Public-source recommendation facts may be reused separately from private user information.

Ask Cue conversations

When available, Ask Cue sends your message, bounded recent conversation and task state, and selected saved recommendation context through Kue’s protected backend to an approved AI provider. Active-session conversation history is stored locally, isolated by account, and expires at the session’s 24-hour boundary; cleanup occurs when the app next runs. Kue does not keep a cloud conversation transcript or infer preferences across sessions. Separate service accounting and provider retention may apply.

Accounts, sharing, and CueScore

Hosted features associate records with an authenticated owner, which can be anonymous before permanent account creation. We process sharing events and recommendation saves, tries, ratings, and likes to calculate CueScore, attribute recommendations, prevent duplicate credit, and handle corrections or abuse reports.

Publishing your profile is a separate choice. Its selected name and score information become visible to others. Country ranking uses a country preference suggested from your device region, which you can correct; it does not require precise GPS location. Private profiles are excluded from public ranking.

Sharing a Cue or collection makes the selected content available through its link. Public profile and score sharing do not publish private notes, retained source photos, your private account photo, or recipient identities. You can revoke links you control, but recipients may retain copies they already obtained.

If notification permission is granted and the feature is configured, Kue registers a device notification token with its backend and notification delivery services, including Expo. Optional daily digests also use your saved timezone. You can disable the digest in the app and notification permission in device settings.

Connected social accounts

Official social-account connections are in development and are not yet live for public users. When offered, you will sign in and approve access on the platform’s authorization screen. Kue will not ask you to place a verification code in a public bio or post.

The intended purpose is to establish which public account you control and attribute recommendations from it. Platform identifiers, permitted profile information, connection status, and server-held authorization credentials may be needed. Connecting an account is separate from publishing your Kue profile. Before enabling an integration, we will disclose the actual platform-specific data, retention, and removal controls and update this notice as needed.

Providers and this website

Service providers support hosting, authentication, storage, source acquisition, and approved AI processing. Supabase supports hosted account and data services. Source and AI processing depend on the enabled feature and its disclosures and controls; a draft integration is not an active connection.

This static website is intended to be hosted by Cloudflare. Hosting processes ordinary request information, including IP address, requested URL, browser information, and security signals, to deliver and protect the site. Kue adds no advertising, analytics scripts, tracking cookies, or contact form to this website. An email link opens your email application; your email provider and ours process the message.

Processing may occur in countries other than your own, depending on the service involved. Providers and social platforms have their own terms and privacy notices. Their retention periods may differ from Kue’s.

Retention

We keep account and recommendation records for the available service, synchronization, score attribution, security, and correction purposes until deleted or no longer needed. Account deletion removes private account mappings and the public profile and revokes active share links. Other people’s legitimate anonymous score totals can remain without a private recipient identity map.

Queued sources become eligible for expiry after 30 days; incomplete staging becomes stale after 30 minutes. Cleanup occurs when the relevant app or cleanup process next runs. New photo-recognition evidence has a 24-hour expiry; backend physical cleanup depends on its worker running, so outages can delay deletion. Approved providers can have separate retention obligations.

Retained local source-photo copies remain until deleted or the app is removed. They are not synced or backed up by Kue. Account deletion does not erase all local Cues, and uninstalling the app does not delete a hosted account. See deletion instructions.

Limited records may be retained for applicable legal obligations, security, disputes, or backup cleanup. We will explain a relevant exception when it affects a request.

Your choices and requests

Manage available profile, sharing, notification, and deletion controls in the app. Email f.ahmed9446@gmail.com for access, correction, deletion, or help with a privacy concern, including information about you in a recommendation. You do not need a Kue account to contact us. We may ask for proportionate information to verify a request.

Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing, obtain a portable copy, withdraw consent where processing relies on it, or complain to a data-protection authority. We address requests under applicable requirements.

Age and changes

Kue is intended for adults aged 18 or older. Contact us if you believe a child has supplied personal information. We update this notice when practices change and show a revised date. Materially different processing requires the appropriate notice or choice before it begins.
